The Connoisseur – Norman Rockwell, 1962

Rockwell always showed a keen interest in and deep admiration for his contemporaries, from Picasso to Pollock.
The painting is an amusing study of a museum visit by an ordinary citizen, whose sober gray business suit is almost devoured by the turbulent colors of a Pollock painting created with the dripping technique (literally "dripping").
